Diabetes mellitus also called diabetes is a chronic disease with a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism. It is divided into two basic types, depending on whether insulin deficiency is temporary or permanent. Treatment is done by additional insulin application, diet and increased physical activity. In our outpatient clinic, we will provide you comprehensive examinations including the necessary consultation with doctor.

Healthcare centre Anděl has all the necessary equipment for complete and accurate diabetological examination and subsequent correct diagnosis. The basic step is the glucose tolerance test (oGTT), when blood is collected from the patient and then sent to the laboratory. It is necessary to make an appointment in advance and the waiting time is about 1-2 weeks.
